SEVEN Years later...... I am 53 with excessive retail experience and I WISH I would have seen your video BEFORE I decided to apply at Kohls. I have been hated by the Store Administrator and a Supervisor, for no other reason than I came in to do a good job. I have previous experience in the men's department and jewelry, but I was given the Lead of Home, where I worked for a year ALONE before transferring to be the Men's Lead. I have NO associates to Lead. I am expected to: Every 2 hours do go-backs behind customer service for woman's, juniors and mens Every 2 hours empty and put away the clothes in the men's and ladies fitting room. Do all of the recovery in mens Stop every 30 minutes to check Bopus Set up the softlines side for the day before truck Work with the freight crew to unpack and process softlines Fill in breaks and lunch for Amazon Say hello to every customer Be available to fill in for Sephora Make sure to provide excellent customer service Be available for register assistance Make sure to phone calls from customers Be available to cover customer service AND have all of my freight put out in 24 hours. I just sent my Manager an email stating "I don't get Supervisor pay to do Supervisor's work, I'm looking for a new job."

Clueless and the self entitlement is strong in this one.

I feel you boo Walmart sucks

On May 12, 2024, I will be gone from Walmart exactly a YEAR. I do regret what I did of finding $100 and not turning it in sooner on May 12, 2023 at grocery self checkout before my 1-10 maintenance shift, the customer called it in and I was terminated on the spot after they looked on camera when they called me into the office midshift around 4:30 PM in the afternoon. I was told to hand in my vest, work badge, discount card and work phone and that I was fired. I won unemployment since I guess I turned the money in, but was NOT arrested. Looking back, being gone was the best thing that's happened to me aside of what I did to get fired, but even though aside of being I'm ineligible to be rehired, I'm glad I'm gone. They are the WORST employer I ever worked for. Before them, I thought Home Depot was, but Walmart easily eclipsed that and is #1 and Home Depot is #2. Since I wasn't arrested nor told I couldn't shop there anymore as a customer, my old management looks at me in disguist when they see me including the one store lead that fired me. Welp, I'm promoted to customer now. I'm not stupid to do it again, but when I buy something, I hold onto my receipt and I should be fine when the greeters check my receipt for big ticket items on my way out. I even told a few former coworkers that if I see management disrespecting them or another customer on the floor, I will quietly call Home Office on the spot and make an anonymous complaint and not say I used to work there, of course. I'm a CUSTOMER now. I hope to see one day see and hear that this company went and goes under that they think they are too big to fail. They are sadly mistaken.

Walmart is the store that harasses people at the door to show their receipt...... Hey customers stop complying with that. They have no right to ask that question, because the legal transaction already happened at the checkout.

At least you're free. I've been trying to get out of Walmart for a year now. I've been working there as a cart pusher for years. Come this July, I will have been there for 4 years! This wasn't even the position I applied for. I wanted to work in electronics or be in stocking. But, they put me outside and I have been there ever since. The point system is a farce and it takes forever to clear off points. Not to mention the fact that they *halt* the *protected paid time off* whenever it gets close to the fall season and then after winter is over, it finally starts moving! And about the favoritism, you're not alone there. A trans male was fired because he needed more time to recover from surgery. And an elderly woman was also nearly fired after she fell to the floor and broke her arm. Plus, there's another cart pusher I don't get along with who managed to successfully transfer to stocking, when I have been trying to get that position as well. Managers will also give you the runaround and blow you off if you want to transfer or need help on something. Walmart sucks. And another thing, they have *NOT* raised the pay whatsoever. I'm still making the same amount of money. I can't stand it anymore. I'm still trying to find other employment. But it's hard when you live in a small town.

I just quite today I’ve been there two weeks and had another employee get attitude towards me in the fresh produce cooler I left came in the next morning went to talk to the manager about the situation and that I felt I had not been trained correctly so they jumped the person training me at that time I told them that there whole process of handling storing an stocking there produce was completely incorrect an that there was cross contamination everywhere they never cleaned an I never seen anyone was there hands other than myself she got defensive very quickly an told me her store was the cleanest in the area and that they follow all of Walmarts guidelines for sanitation an handling product so I questioned her about some of the procedures an then asked if they followed state or federal guidelines she just responded with we comply with Walmarts policy’s and asked were I got my information from I just replied I’m very informed with food handling procedures

Walmart is the armpit of retail. I worked there for 7 years and saw a lot of shady things and people which was mostly assistant managers. If someone got a little authority over others then they thought they ruled the world. 99% of the management had either a drug, alcohol or an addiction to both. The co-manager was a pathetic excuse for a person. Months after I quit he thought I still worked there. Everytime I ran into him he tried to reprimand me for not working and every time I told him I had quit. I finally went off on him and made fun of him to his face. He got mad and tried to write me up for insubordination. I just turned around and walked off and left him there yelling at me.

It's about keeping things not just clean but sanitized. Because people can easily get sick from dirty work surfaces. A little work never hurt anyone by the way. It's always the biggest complaint I hear out of Walmart workers in general. It's called work for a reason. Not you would ever find me at a Walmart but if it was me I would be kicking ass all the way so I didn't need to be there long. Nice, friendly and clean. Not rocket science. Probably why it doesn't pay all that well too. Nearly anyone can do it. Nearly. Maybe one arm willy might have some trouble so we'll stick him over by the exit and make him a greeter.. but doesn't take much to be a decent person.. even ol' one arm Willy can check receipts and say hi. Pay is probably 50 cents lower too but it is what it is. They gave you a job when you most needed it and you were there to provide a service. Not my cup of coffee, but it just is what is. I would rather work for Walmart than for our local BMV. All you see there is dumb and pissed off fokes. At least you get a chance at a friendly interaction.

The neighborhood market Wal-Mart is worse. I worked in the deli and put in a 2 weeks notice, but quit before finishing the 2 weeks. The way it played out was I pulled up to the job parking lot one day and sat in my car for about 2 minutes. After those 2 minutes, I decided that I was not going to let these rude and annoying customers control me from 1pm-10 Sat-Wed. That job made me absolutely hate people and I developed social anxiety because of it.

Yes you is right about that the store I transferred from I have to say it was the worst store ever! I got fired Sunday because I accidentally stole sweet teas and hair ties! The AP lady was very mean when she fired me cuss at me told me to leave and all that she was glad she fired me so I can stop talking to my HR lady and hugged her but my HR lady was the only one that was nice to me my AP lady and my other managers was all mean to me at that store I hate I got fired over something dumb because now I don’t have enough money and I have to get a new job! So I’m working on that

I got fired for gross misconduct on May 12 and 18 days later on May 30 started a new job. May 26 I had an interview at my new job at a smaller grocery store job and going from $14 an hour at Walmart after 4 years and 3 months there starting in apparel and then going janitorial maintenance full time. My new job is part-time at $15.50 an hour at the supermarket and have some sanity back. I was fired from Walmart for gross misconduct and ineligible to be rehired. Walmart did me a favor. I still have lingering pains from the maintenance job from tossing garbage into the compactor on my left collarbone and around my groin which I hope I don't have a hernia or tear. I have to get that checked when I finally have health insurance. Aside from what I did to get fired and deeply regret, I feel free from Walmart. Fuck the Waltons, Fuck Sam's Club and Fuck Walmart!

They NEVER have enough cashiers. So they call for backup and pull department leads away from there departments, and then costumers can’t get helped while shopping.

The customers are mostly rude and the point system sucks.

I am a new subscriber and love your videos. Also I've worked for Walmart as well and worked as a stock associate got paid well but got harassed by my manager for having a disability unfortunately. I also worked for jcpenney and target so everytime I go into a store I'm always so nice to the people working cause I understand retail.

Yes I worked for target as a style team member in apparel and back up cashier. And definitely had customers say when the item didn't ring up oh must be free lol sorry nothings free. I liked working on the sales floor and stock room a lot more so glad was only back up cashier.

What yall think about an employees that wears a hat that says Respect MY Space and a mask. Stops the cash register at the self-checkout to come over and say"Excuse ME!" Excuse ME!" so she can see what the problem is at the register,,,she makes you move back so she can do it!
